In my every day, I love to capture the moments that feel so normal yet special. I want to remember sitting at the piano learning a new song or cuddling together in the family room belly laughing over who knows what anymore. The value and sentiment that exists in these moments only grows as time goes on and I’m here to document them for you.
My love for documentary-style photography is driven by the joy of looking through old photo albums from childhood and being fascinated by the stories that stem from each print. The way people can connect and reconnect through those unprompted and unfiltered photos holds so much meaning to me and has guided the way I interact with all areas of life.

Although I’m so grateful to have the privilege to experience life together with my family, it’s hard to not recognize the time we spend together is fleeting. This is why I approach photography the way I do – documenting human connection for what it is.

The philosophy
My love for the life we share deeply influences my approach to photography as there are just so many memories I want to hold onto as we simultaneously navigate the new. When I’m not working, you’ll find me with a book open no matter where I am – currently loving romance and fantasy books, of course, – at the piano, or spending time with my loved ones including our pup named Cooper, a spoiled little thing!
Welcome, I'm Kat! I’m a sentimentalist at heart. I love big and believe part of what makes me so passionate about photography is the love I have within my own relationship with my Fiancé Eric. After meeting in high school – a time in your life when you’re still young, figuring things out, and have much to experience – we created a life with one another and have since lived through so many different seasons of our own lives together.
